Atlantic City Surf...probably not coming back.

I've done some research, and talked to some people close to "Atlantic City Surf situation," and they've stated that right now there is nothing formally set up to bring back the Surf.

City Workers did in fact go inside "The SandCastle" and clean it up in hopes of drawing potential owners to the area but nothing has happened. A lot of hoops need to be jumped through and approval is needed from City Council, Mayor, and Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

Prospective ownership groups can fill out paper work and bring it to the city for review, it's an extremely easy process, but in most cases it's a pipe dream.

Also, I've been in contact with both the CAN-AM and Atlantic Leagues about this possibility, and they have both told me that they were unaware of any attempt of team from Atlantic City to enter their leagues.

I'd love to see a team back in Atlantic City because more baseball is better! Also, it helps the local economy, but at this point I don't see it happening.

  1. The casino never were really a help when we were in the Atlantic League. We had good teams. Went to the playoffs several times
