Barnstormers sign Adam Godwin

The Lancaster Barnstormers have signed speedy outfielder Adam Godwin for the 2012 season.

Godwin was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round (346th overall) of the 2005 MLB Amateur Draft.

He played five season in the Dodgers organization before signing with the New Jersey Jackals of the Can-Am League in 2010.

Godwin started the 2011 season with the Barnstormers but was traded to Southern Maryland after only playing in 19 games in Lancaster.

He hit .326 with 37 stolen bases in 72 games for the Blue Crabs.
