Ducks Beat Bluefish Again

The Long Island Ducks defeated the Bridgeport Bluefish, 7-2 on Saturday.

The Ducks got another solid outing from their starting pitcher, as Dan Meyer went three innings allowing one run on three hits. The Ducks bullpen was also solid allowing only one run in six innings.

Ryan Garko, Brandon Sing, and Reid Gorecki all had big days for the Ducks. Garko was 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, Brandon Sing was 3-for-5 with a RBI, and Reid Gorecki was 2-for-3 with a RBI.

Through the first two exhibition games the Ducks overall pitching has been solid. In 18 innings they've allowed only 2 runs. Right now their team ERA is 1.00! Joe Esposito had a solid three innings in relief allowing no runs. Esposito will most likely not be reliever for the Ducks, so his solid outing was a good sign for their rotation.
